The AMP Math Constitution

 

 

Article I.                The AMP Math Club

 

Article II                The purpose of the AMP Math club is to create an environment where students learn and practice their math skills and discuss math problems.

 

Article III               A.  All GCC students are eligible to attend the club meetings.

B. There will be a membership charge and the price is to be decided by the

cabinet members.

C. A certificate will be awarded at the end of the semester when members

complete the requirements.

B.     Each of the selections made are from the club members at the time

Voting.

C. Presidents: The Presidents job is to register the club every spring or   fall semester, find and advisor, organize the clubs’ cabinet, and set up a meeting with the cabinet before every club meeting. The president can only miss three meetings, after club members can remove him or her from office.

 

Vice President: The Vice-Presidents job is to substitute any of the two presidents when ever he or she is not able to come to the clubs meetings. The vice-president has to help the two presidents organize events. Furthermore, he can break tides in the cabinet meetings. The vice-president should never be absent if one of the president is absent too.

 

Treasure:        The Treasure’s job is to open an account along with the clubs’ adviser and keep track of the clubs’ money. The treasure has to turn in a copy of every receipt to the presidents. The treasure has to organize the clubs events and fundraising along with all the cabinet.

 

Secretaries: The Secretary’s job is to take attendance of all the club members and cabinet in all meetings. Each president should have one secretary. Each secretary job is to help the president during the club meetings. Both secretaries should not be absent the same date to the meetings.

 

IOC Representatives: The IOC Representatives must always attend every IOC meeting which most of the time will be Tuesday or Thursday at noon. The IOC Representatives have to announce all-important information to all the club members. They can only miss two IOC meeting but not all at the same time. Whenever one of them is not able to make it he or she has to let the president know so the president can sent someone else.

 

Web-Designers: The Web-Designer’s job is to keep the AMP Math Club web-site update. All-important event should be posted ahead at least one week before each event. They cannot be absent at the same time during all meetings.

 

 

Article V                     The qualifications for a board director is to be part of GCC, as a teacher or as a student.

 

Article VI               A.  Member meetings are every Friday from 12:00 pm to 1:30 pm.

B.     Cabinet meetings are every Thursday from 12pm to 1pm.

 

Article VII                  The number of members to be kwon in two weeks from the start of the spring semester.

 

Article VIII             A. The treasurer cabinet member will keep track of the club money.

B. Expenses are to be reported to the presidents.

 

Article IX               A. All of the office members are eligible to run for a position only

twice.

                                               

Article X               A. Cabinet members must be elected by club members.

B. Members who run for a position must be informed of position duties

                             C. Voting methods could be change each semester.

 

Article XI              A. For the meetings of the organization there must be at least one president, the vice president, one of the secretaries, and at least one IOC present.

A.     For the board meetings all of cabinet members must be present or at least most of them.

Article XII              A. Any cabinet member holding a position could be taken out by club members if that person is not doing their job.

                             B. A trial for removal should be done.

 

 

                                   

B.     At the end of each semester a new cabinet will be elected. The election
