Short Bio:
Lilya
Avagyan was born in Yerevan, Armenia in 1988 march 14. In 2004
she graduated from Nar-Dos High School in Yerevan and got
accepted to Russian-Armenian (Slavonic) State University as a
Medical-Biology major. Lilya started attending GCC in 2007,
majoring in Biology; she wants to transfer in 2009 to a UC. She
plans to become a doctor. Some of Lilya’s favorite hobbies are
singing and dancing.

Short Bio:
Yazmin
Moreno, is a sociologist major hoping to transfer soon to UC
Berkeley or Cal State Long Beach. She is a AB-450 student and
believes in educational equality for all. Yazmin is a strong
believer that a more effective as well as inclusive, educational
and immigration system is needed but also thinks that as
students we have to be part of the change we would like to see
by taking action.

Nina
Tshavrushyan was born in 1989 in Armenia. Her family moved to
the United States when she was thirteen. Nina graduated from
Herbert Hoover high school in 2008 and is hoping to transfer to
UC Berkley next fall and later continue my educational career in
Law School. Her career goal is to work as a public servant in
California and make a difference in the lives of immigrants.

Ghazaryan was born on October 9, 1988 in Yerevan, Armenia. She
graduated from high school back in Armenia and when she came to
United States in 2006, she started attending GCC. Shake likes
reading interesting books, being outdoors, and playing
basketball.

The Campus
Organizations committee responsibilities are:
-
Acts as a liaison
with all student clubs and organizations.
-
Makes
recommendations for changes to the
Inter-Organizational Committee by-laws. Such
recommendations for changes must be approved by a
majority vote of the legislature.
-
Plans and
coordinates the leadership seminars and retreats for
the Inter-Organizational Committee.
-
Administers the
Student Organization Support (S.O.S) application
process and present funding recommendations to the
legislature for approval.
-
Administer the Organizational
Event Support (O.E.S) application process and
present the funding recommendations to the IOC and
the legislature for approval.
-
Recruits student
clubs and organizations to participate in the
Inter-Organizational
Committee.
