Committees

 

   Executive Committee  
 
  • Coordinates all ASGCC business, administrative, and governance operations.

  • Oversees all standing committees of the ASGCC Legislature.

  •  Facilitates long-range organizational planning.

  •  Implements annual goals and priorities of the ASGCC Legislature.

 
  Administration Committees  
 
  • Recommends to the Legislature revisions to the Constitution and By-laws.
  • Informs the Legislature of government legislative bills and actions.
  • Acts as a liaison to CalSacc.
  • Monitors, organizes, and conducts all Associated Students’ Elections.
  • Prepares, maintains, distributes all ASGCC minutes, agendas, and records as needed and as required by "The Brown Act".
 
  Finance Committee  
 
  • Manages ASGCC finances

  • Makes recommendations to the Legislature on financial matters

  • Draws up the annual budget for the following year

 
  Campus Activities Committee  
 
  • Set an activities calendar

  • Monitor, organize, and conduct ASGCC Graduation activities

  • Monitor, organize, and conduct ASGCC activities

  • Report to the Legislature on matters discussed in the Campus activities committee meetings

 

 
  Campus Relations Committee  
 
  • Administers any and all cultural relations for the ASGCC

  • Acts as liaison to the Child Development Center, Disabled Students, Health Center, Adult Re-entry Program, El Vaquero, International Students, Glendale College Foundation, Glendale College Alumni, and any and all college departments where a continuing relationship is essential to a maximized college experience

  • Creates, publishes, and distributes the ASGCC newsletter

  • Serves as the historian for the ASGCC

  • Coordinates ASGCC marketing and recruiting

  • Coordinates all ASGCC feedback

 
  Campus Organizations Committee  
 
  • Acts as a liaison with all student clubs and organizations

  • Makes recommendations for changes to the Inter-Organizational Committee by-laws. Such recommendations for changes must be approved by a majority vote of the legislature

  • Plans and coordinates the leadership seminars and retreats for the Inter-Organizational Committee

  • Administers the Student Organization Support (S.O.S) application process and present funding recommendations to the legislature for approval

  • Administer the Organizational Event Support (O.E.S) application process and present the funding recommendations to the IOC and the legislature for approval.

  • Recruits student clubs and organizations to participate in the Inter-Organizational
    Committee
