John Cicuto was named Men's Athletic Director in
the Spring of 2007. After retiring as the Head Football
Coach in January 2008 Coach Cicuto is excited to take on new
responsibilities on the administrative level for the entire
athletic department.
John Cicuto has been one of the most
respected football coaches in the California Community College
system. He has been involved with Glendale College for 33
years - 19 years as head coach and 14 years as assistant coach.
He is actively involved and a major contributor to the
California Community College Football Coaches Association.
He is the only coach in the history of the association to have
served two terms as president and is currently a member of
the Executive Board of the association. He has served as
Western State Conference Rep. to the CCCFCA for 19 years.
Coach Cicuto has been one of the driving forces behind the
creation of a permanent site for the CCCFCA Football Hall of
Fame in Visalia, California.
Coach Cicuto will continue his passion from
the football field to the administrative side. Coach
Cicuto has always prided his program on giving on having a
personal commitment to his players and will continue his passion
with all students involved with PE/Athletics.

1985 Football Team Inducted into GCC Hall of Fame
Coach Cicuto's record as head coach is 98 wins,
88 losses and 2 ties. His 2001 team won the US Bank Beach
Bowl. The 2005 team won the Western State Southern
Division Championship and the 2006 team won the Western State
Bowl Championship. He has had 31 All-Americans.
