In 2002, she served as co-chair of the successful Measure G campaign.  The $98 million generated by the measure will provide for much-needed upgrades and renovations on the GCC campus.

She holds a B.A.,  two M.A.s  in Art Education and in Educational Administration from Cal State Los Angeles, and a doctorate in Organizational Management & Educational Leadership from the University of La Verne. In addition, she has earned several credentials and certificates in her areas of expertise.

Since 1988, Dr. Hacopian has been a consultant in leadership  skills, staff development, cross-cultural health communication and conflict management and related fields.  She has been an instructor, administrator, counselor, ESL specialist and program coordinator throughout her career.  Her long list of community involvement includes serving on the City of Glendale Memorial Committee, the New Horizons Family Center board, the Glendale College Foundation board and the Glendale/Burbank chapters of the League of Women Voters.

Dr. Hacopian lives in Glendale with her husband, Vahe.
