Paul P. Locker was elected the 10th president in January and will serve a two-year term through 2002-2003. Locker has been a board member since 1988 and served as vice president since 1998.

Locker, the owner and president of Locker Realty Corp. and Locker Realty Mgmt., which he founded in 1996 in Glendale, has chaired the Golf Tournament Committee as well as the Investment Committee during his time as treasurer of the Foundation.

"Building on the strong leadership in the past I look forward to guiding the Glendale College Foundation through the exciting changes that lie ahead,'' Locker said. "As always, the Foundation will concentrate its efforts on supporting and promoting the college in every way possible.''

Three new members of the Foundation Board of Directors were introduced at the meeting Jan. 15 in the J. Walter Smith Student Center. The new board members are Dr. Maria Rochart, Barbara Marshall and Greg Gregorian.

The Foundation supports an endowment for every educational department at the college, along with many other endowments for scholarships, seminars, campus facilities and more. The endowment pool has grown to almost $4.5 million in the last decade. The Foundation also sponsors the athletic hall of fame banquet and induction ceremony held in February, the business luncheon each spring, and the annual golf tournament held in June. z
