Chaparral wins award...
Congratulations
to each of the contributors to the article "Remembering Jonnie" (published in the February 2001 Chaparral)
which received recognition and the Third Place Award in the category of
"Best Combination of Story and Graphics," at the CFT
Communications Awards.
We
entered the article in the CFT Awards program under the title
"Remembering Jonnie" By Linda
Serra et al, because
Linda's name came first in the ensemble production, and the format would
not allow for all of your names to be included. So, following is a
list of the "et al" in the order that the names appeared in the
original article: Linda
Serra, Nancy Lopez,
Mona Field, Susan Mesko, Charli
Chambers, Mike
Eberts, Maureen Mc Neely,
Glady Kabateck,
Susan Borquez.
In
addition, Susan Cisco and
Patricia Chamroonrat are
to be congratulated for the photo layout and graphics which accompanied
the text.
The
official recognition of their efforts is a fitting testament to the high
regard for Jonnie which we all felt, but which all of them translated into
fact.
We
will celebrate the receipt of the award at the upcoming Guild party for
the Chaparral on April 11 from noon to 1:30 p.m. in AD249.
