As the state and local budgets disintegrate around us, and
discussions and decisions on calendar, class cuts, and possible staff
reductions become obsolete five minutes from the time they are made, the
Guild has implemented a new mode of information dissemination.
The Guild “E-News” (of which you have received two issues) is
meant to be a rapid and effective means of getting news to the
membership of the union, and receiving feedback and answers to
important, time-sensitive questions.
Therefore,
this is probably the last “regular” installment of “All the Right
Moves?”. I would like to
see this space used for articles of interest on Guild history and
non-time-sensitive Guild issues. If
anyone has any ideas or suggestions, please contact me at extension
5395. If you have anecdotes
that would be of interest to the college community, jot them down and
put them in my campus mailbox.
