Nominations are now underway for the
second annual John Davitt Award for Outstanding Service.
This year,
for the first time, a second category has been added to include the
"other classified" of the campus. That group includes the
confidential employees as well as the classified managers. If you
are unsure of what category the person you want to nominate falls into,
simply call Diane Fiero in Human Resources, and she will help you figure
that out, or you can simply fill out the nomination form, send it to Human
Resources and it will be placed in the correct category.
The forms
have been modified this year and are much easier to complete. The deadline
for nominations is April 4, 2003, and all information received is
confidential. Nomination forms are available throughout the campus.
The winner
will be announced at the annual Recognition/Retirement Luncheon to be held
on May 29, 2003. Not everyone will be able to win, but all valid
nominees will receive a letter of recognition from Dr. Davitt for their
personnel file. Please remember that this award is for regular
employees of the college. Hourly employees or student workers are
not eligible for this honor, and any nominations received for them will
have to be invalidated. Please take the time to complete the
simplified nomination form and send it to Human Resources by the April 4
deadline. Show those you work with how much you value them and all
they do. One final reminder: all forms must be signed by the
nominator, and you may not nominate yourself.&
