An article and research study by four
GCC instructors has been published in a renowned international journal
of library science, "Reference Services Review," Vol.30 No. 4,
2002. Librarians Deborah Moore and Steve Brewster,
nursing instructor Cynthia Dorroh and journalism and English instructor Michael Moreau wrote "Information Competency
Instruction in a Two-Year
College: One Size Does Not Fit
All." Prior to publishing the article, the four GCC instructors
gave a joint presentation at LOEX, a national information literacy
conference. After a competitive proposal process, GCC
was the only community college asked to
present at the conference.
