Greetings, Glendale Family.
As
the end of this school year draws nearer, I want
to take this opportunity to offer my compliments
for the hard work and dedication we have
invested this past academic year.
We addressed our Accreditation head on, and I know that all those who were part of the self study and organization for the visit of the accreditation team feel that we went through a worthy process. Taking an honest look at our institution will only help us identify areas where we can improve. We ushered in a new college President who has always supported all things Classified, and I encourage you all to take a moment if you haven’t already to get to know Dr. Lindsay. The relatively new administration has a daunting budget year ahead and will be looking to work with us even more closely to make sure we continue to serve students effectively. Classified Employee Week 2010 was yet again a great success with CSEA and the Classified Council combining forces to organize this event. Highlights of the week included the administrators at the grill during the BBQ, a very exciting BINGO session and Faculty vs. Classified basketball game. We made sure to have enough activities to burn off the calories from the exceptionally good food, and to foster great camaraderie. This year, Classified Council gave three scholarships totaling $900. Wendy Grove and her scholarship committee had a very difficult task selecting the winners from the talented and deserving pool of applicants. Congratulations winners! & |
