It is almost a
month since the fall semester started, but it seems like yesterday.
The good news—the governor signed the budget and the bad news—the
new budget cuts $3 billion to K-14 education.
As of today, we have twelve classified employees who are
retiring this year, and they will be recognized on December 15 at
the CSEA Holiday Party. Approximately 40 employees from
administration, faculty and classified have decided to take the
incentive and retire this year.
The 20th Classified Institute Day was a wonderful occasion that
fostered camaraderie before the start of the new academic year.
During the event, 28 new classified employees were introduced, and
CSEA scholarship awards were presented to Sarah Black (Instructional
Services) and Blanca Collazo (Campus Police).
Based on the survey some of you participated in, the following
classified employees have been selected to take part on the
accreditation committee as follows:
Standard I –
Dana Nartea and Ellen Rosen.
Standard II –
Henan Joof, Jessica LoGuercio, Sarah Williams, Anela Khachikian, and
Scarlet Yerissian.
Standard III –
Hoover Zariani, Frankie Strong and Catherine Crawford.
Standard IV –
Saodat Aziskhanova, Paul Buehler and Frankie Strong.
