Community College has offered noncredit classes since the early
1930s. The Garfield Campus houses the Continuing Education Office,
Community Services Office, CalWORKs, the Office Skills Center classes,
a Developmental Skills Laboratory and English as a Second Language
classes. Parent Education and Lifelong Learning classes are also part
of the continuing education programs. They are held on the college’s
main campus and throughout the local area.
Continuing Education Office hours are 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Monday through
Thursday, and 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Many programs have
Saturday classes available between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
All continuing education classes are
tuition-free. Students may enter a class at any time during the
