What is Noncredit ESL?

We offer ESL classes for adults in morning, afternoon, and evening sessions at a number of locations in the Glendale area. Six levels of classes, Level 0 through Level 5, are available for the ESL student. Reading, writing, listening and speaking skills are integrated into each class. There are also specialized skills classes (conversation and computer basics for ESL students), Citizenship, and classes for Older Adults. A number of these classes incorporate computer literacy skills.

How much do classes cost?

Noncredit ESL classes are free, and open-entry/open-exit. There may be a waiting list for some classes.

What if I want more practice or if I'm not taking a class?

The ESL Learning Center is located in Rm. 121 at the Garfield Campus. Students have access to a variety of ESL software, video, and audio materials, word processing, and selected Internet sites.
