CSE Instructor: Onnik Hayrapetian
Onnik (Akob) Hayrapetian holds a B.A. in Armenian Language and Literature from University of Isfahan, Iran, an M.A. in General Linguistics (concentrated on Armenian Language and Linguistics) from University of Tehran, Iran, a Ph.D. in Education and Public Relations from University of Urartu in Yerevan, Armenia. He has also been studying General Linguistics in the Ph. D. program at the University of Pennsylvania (Philadelphia, USA). He has over 30 years experience in teaching Armenian Language, Linguistics and Literature in elementary and high schools, colleges, and universities.
He also holds private tutoring sessions. His private students include doctors, lawyers, teachers, police personnel, city council members, clergies, and business people. He has been teaching Armenian Language at Glendale Community College since 1990, Armenian Studies at Mashdots College since 1992, where he is the chair person of the Armenian Studies Department. Meanwhile, he is the Educational Director at Davidian and Mariamian Educational Foundation in Glendale. He also is a member of Armenian Studies Association in Fresno, California. Onnik Hayrapetian has a unique approach to the Armenian; he has his students reading and writing Armenian at the first meeting.
