Susan Quon
Susan is a recovered architect, a swimmer and Tai Chi practitioner. Dabbling
in yoga classes since college for stress management and personal discipline
she found her long term teacher, Rosanne Nicassio in 1990. As family demands
and work stress continued to pile up, teaching yoga and taking teacher training
was and option out of the corporate rat race and an opportunity to have quality
home time. She brings the concepts of foundation, structure and movement
into her teaching. Susan’s style of teaching relies heavily on Iyengar and
Viniyoga techniques combined with a goodly dose of humor thanks to “I Love
Lucy."
Susan’s mission statement is “to bring the Joy of Yoga to my students”. She is a continuing student of Yoga and Tai Chi Chuan taking workshops with Judith Lasater, Gary Kraftsow and others. Susan is a 200 hour Registered Yoga teacher with Yoga Alliance and a Certified Advanced Relax and Renew Trainer with Judith Lasater. She is also very interested in prenatal yoga and hopes to train and certify in Yoga Therapy just as soon as she can save up all the nickels, dimes and quarters.
