Mikilani Young
Born and raised on the island of Oahu, Mikilani Young began learning Hula at the tender age of 1. Thirty-seven years after her initial learning, she is now a Kumu Hula instructor, certified to carry on the teachings of Hula and the Hawaiian culture. She moved to California 10 years ago and started her own hula group "Halau Hula "O Kawahineali' i noho'ikeanuenue-'elua, which includes men, women and children of all ages, shapes, sizes and background.
