Massage Therapy Training Program
Get the training you need to become a Massage Therapist through this 17 week hands on program. You will learn massage techniques, hydrotherapy, specialized massage, and therapeutic exercise. Program Summary
As a Massage Therapist you will learn Massage Techniques, Hydrotherapy, Specialized Massage and Therapeutic Exercise as well as make appointments, greet clients, take brief medical histories, keep records and books, market your services, and wash linens. You will clean and disinfect equipment and work areas. Massage therapists may work under the supervision of doctors, chiropractors, acupuncturists, dentists, or physical therapists to help people deal with injuries, stress, and chronic pain. This course combines 112-hours of classroom instruction with a 120-hour externship to provide a complete learning experience. Course topics include: Professionalism, Anatomy, Physiology, Sanitary & Safety Precautions, Massage Techniques, Hydrotherapy, Specialized Massage, Therapeutic Exercise and Business Practices.

Upon successful completion of this course, graduates will receive a certificate of completion. Once you have established yourself in the profession, you may seek professional certification with one of several organizations.
Instructional Format
232 hours of classroom and clinic-based instruction.
Externships
“Eligible” students will be placed in externships no later than 90 days from the end of the classroom portion of any course. An eligible student is one who has all prerequisites on file and has successfully completed the classroom portion of the course. Full details will be given during the first class session.
Continuing Education Units
Certified Nursing Assistants earn 48 hours of CEU's.

Prerequisites
There are no minimum state requirements for enrollment. We recommend that students are at least 18 years of age and have earned a high school diploma or its equivalent. Prior to placement in an externship, each participant will be required to show proof of completion CPR for the healthcare provider, (the CPR course must be one and two-person teams for adult, child and infant CPR;) proof of a current physical examination, tuberculosis screening, and submit a resume. Obtaining CPR, physical, TB screening and resume is student's responsibility.
English and Math Prescreening
You will be required to pass an English language and math prescreening prior to final admittance into any course. This prescreening will be administered on the first day of class. The prescreening covers basic English language reading and comprehension as well as basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals and percentages). If the applicant does not pass the exam they can request a refund of the 100% of fees paid. This refund will be processed within 7 business days from the first day of the course.
