Dear College Student,
Welcome to Speech 101!
For many students, Public Speaking can be a challenging course, one which they put
off until the end of their college careers. However, once the course
is completed, students often say that it was one of the best classes they
took in college. We, the instructors of Speech 101, want this course
to be one of the best and most rewarding college experiences you will have.
On this page you will find all the documents which are shared by the Public Speaking
professors here at Glendale Community College. These documents
include: our criteria for the grading of speeches, our guidelines for
student outlines, and our standardized speaker evaluation form.
All of our Speech 101 students leave the class with a videotape of all their
speeches and will have the opportunity to evaluative those speeches.
The self-evaluation sheet is included here as well.
Without doubt, the ability to speak effectively will be a tremendous asset for the
rest of your life. I and my expert staff of speech professors look
forward to helping you become the best public speaker you can be.
