Our Department offers a wide variety of classes related to the field of Speech Communication, including Public Speaking, Small Group Discussion, Argumentation and Debate, Oral Interpretation of Literature, and Interpersonal Communication.
After expertise in the discipline, employers list good oral communication skills as their first requirement in hiring. It doesn't matter how much you know if you can't tell anyone! A major or minor in speech communication can greatly enhance your marketability. Additionally the Speech Communication Department offers a 9-unit certificate of completion in Communication.
