FITNESS SPECIALIST |
This certificate prepares the student to work in various fitness
leadership positions in the health/fitness industry or to become self - employed
in health/fitness training and consultation. The program emphasizes the
relationship of human physiology, exercise training, lifestyle behavior
modification and disease prevention, distinguishing between the needs of health
persons and those with health challenges. This program is based on the
guidelines of the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM).
Students interested in pursuing a Bachelor's degree, should meet with an academic and/or transfer counselor to discuss
