SPECIALIST IN ALCOHOL/DRUG STUDIES

The program is designed to provide academic preparation and field experience for individuals employed, or preparing for employment, as alcohol and drug abuse specialists in public and private agencies. To earn a certificate the student must complete the core courses and selected courses from each section as designated, for a total of 38 units. The program is accredited by the California Association of Alcohol and Drug Educators and designed to meet the certification requirements of both the California Association of Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselors and the Coalition of Program Standards.
Students interested in pursuing a Bachelor's degree, should meet with an academic and/or transfer counselor to discuss transfer requirements.
