CABOT 90

Self- Paced Introduction to Adapted Word  Processing – 1 unit

Individualized, self-paced instruction to students with disabilities in the use of a word processing application program and any necessary, appropriate assistive computer technology.

Recommended preparation: Eligibility for ENGL 189 or ESL 133.

CABOT 91

Introduction to Word Processing for Students with Visual Impairments  - 3 units

Instruction for students with visual impairments in the basic use of screen reading or text enlarging assistive computer technology and a word processing application program.

Introduction to Adapted Word Processing – 3 units

Lecture course instruction to students with disabilities in the use of word processing software and specially designed assistive computer technology to produce written documents and academic assignments.

Adapted Computer Lab (Independent Study) – 2 units

Access to the High-Tech Center for the disabled student, who has completed CABOT 92 or the equivalent, to do class assignments and/or work on independent projects.

Advanced Adapted Applications – 3 units

Lecture course in advanced Microsoft Word applications, Windows basics, Introduction to Excel program.
