Welcome to the Learning Center CAI Lab!
We have a few requests while you are here:
-- ALWAYS check-in and check out when using the lab.
-- In order to use our computers, you need to certify that you understand our policies about the use of technology on campus. Please read our Acceptable Use of Technology Policy. If you are just "surfing the net" and other students need the computer to do assignments, then you will be asked to give up the computer. The primary mission of the use of technology on campus is for educational purposes i.e. directly related to your classes and the
curriculum. Downloading offensive material from the Internet is not permitted. Accesses to our
server are logged.
-- Personal use of the computers including use of chat rooms, personal e-mail
and cyber-surfing is limited to no more than an hour at a time and is not permitted whenever
others need the computers for classwork. The Learning Center staff will determine if usage has
been excessive. At all times, any behavior which prevents other students from studying is not
allowed.
-- Please quit your applications and sign-out when you are done using them.
-- Please do not bring in food and/or drinks. (Both are fatal to computers)
-- Please do not ask us to help you copy software (This is illegal).
-- Please do not disrupt others with excessively loud talking or socializing.
AND........
-- Please realize that instructors may have reservations for classes in the lab. (You will be courteously reminded to leave before a class comes in.)
-- Please realize that the lab gets busy...especially at finals. (Plan ahead!) We are open most evenings and on Saturday.
