In 1983, a group of dedicated community volunteers came together on behalf
of Glendale Community College and created the Glendale College Foundation.
Their vision—to establish a charitable foundation that would support
college facilities and programs and build public awareness of the
college—is today’s reality.
The Foundation, which recently celebrated its 20th
anniversary,
now
achieves its goals through various fundraising programs and special
events. It has an endowment of over $5 million, with more than 200 funds
that support scholarships, facilities and programs. Through its public
information programs, the Foundation gives community groups an inside look
at the college. A distinguished and active Board of Directors provides
steady guidance and support.
