In 1983, a group of dedicated community volunteers came together on behalf of Glendale Community College and created the Glendale College Foundation. Their vision—to establish a charitable foundation that would support college facilities and programs and build public awareness of the college—is today’s reality.

The Foundation, which recently celebrated its 20^th anniversary, now achieves its goals through various fundraising programs and special events. It has an endowment of over $5 million, with more than 200 funds that support scholarships, facilities and programs. Through its public information programs, the Foundation gives community groups an inside look at the college. A distinguished and active Board of Directors provides steady guidance and support.
