Athletic Endowment & Scoreboard
After decades of overuse and disrepair, the athletic
field is finally getting a much-needed makeover. The goal of this campaign
is to raise funds for the scoreboard and an athletic endowment, which will
provide support for the facility and the athletic department. The cost of
the state-of-the-art scoreboard and track timing system is not included in
the field renovation, and the funds must be raised privately.

purchase of the scoreboard and the endowment.
Science Center Planetarium Endowment
The Foundation is currently raising funds for a planetarium
endowment with donations recognized on a donor wall. The Science
Center provides state-of-the-art science and math education at the
college. For more information on the Science Center, please

Friends of the Science Center
In addition to hosting classes for the college, the newly constructed
Science Center serves as a resource and assistance center in science and
math education for Los Angeles County schools and helps to raise public
interest in science in the community. Donors are invited to help fund
engaging programs that stimulate interest in science, math and technology
by joining our Friends of the Science Center membership program. Annual
memberships start at just $25 and include a special periodic newsletter,
information about public shows and other benefits. For more information,

Adopt a Tree Landscaping Endowment
Glendale Community College invites you to participate in our tree
adoption program. There are over 150 trees on the Glendale College campus
that are available for adoption. They are located throughout the grounds.
At the base of each adopted tree will be a 6" x 6" beige tile indicating
the adopter or the honoree. You can honor a family member or a friend,
remember a loved one, or simply adopt your own tree for just $300. All
donations will be placed in the Landscaping Endowment with proceeds used
to enhance the landscaping on campus.
Deferred Gifts
Deferred gifts such as bequests, life estate programs and charitable
remainder trusts often provide substantial tax deductions and may be the
most advantageous form of giving for many donors. Many of these
arrangements may provide a life income for donors in addition to major
capital gains and estate tax savings.
Charitable Gift Annuity Program
A charitable gift annuity is a specific type of deferred gift,
purchased with an irrevocable gift of cash or securities that pays the
donor a lifelong income and allows the donor a charitable tax deduction.
When the donor passes away, the remaining principal of the annuity goes to
the Glendale College Foundation. This outstanding contribution option is
presented in conjunction with the California Community League and the
Network of California Community College Foundations. Click
