GCC
ATHLETIC HALL OF FAME
2009 Inductees
Inductees
Since 1928, thousands of athletes
have participated in athletics at Glendale Community College.
It is the goal of the Athletic Hall of Fame to celebrate that
legacy. The Glendale Community College Athletic Hall of Fame
was officially launched with the inaugural induction ceremony
and banquet on Feb. 10, 2002, with five individuals and one
team being honored as the Inaugural Inductees.
A large mural depicting the
various men and women's sports that Glendale participates
in as a member school of the Western State Conference is the
centerpiece of the room where the banquet is held in the J. Walter
Smith Student Center. A collage of photos for each inductee
is on display in the room for the year following their induction
and a perpetual plaque bearing their name and the year of
their induction is permanently on display.
