The goal of the EOPS program at GCC is to assist low income and educationally disadvantaged students with supplemental educational support services that will enhance their academic success.
EOPS was established in 1969. In October of 2012 we celebrated 43 years of service to community college students.
The passage of the Senate Concurrent Resolution (SCR) 34 in 2009 designated the month of October as Extended Opportunity Programs and Services Month to honor the mission and purpose of the Extended Opportunity Programs and Services. Read More
EOPS - Extended Opportunity Programs and Services provide support services to students who demonstrate the potential to succeed in higher education. Our program offers a variety of services that may include, but are not limited to priority registration, orientation, counseling, instruction, book services and financial assistance. CARE - Cooperative Agencies Resources for Education CARE is a supplemental component of EOPS created to provide educational support services and activities for students who are single parents. CARE students must be eligible for EOPS services. Please go to the CARE HOME page to learn more about the CARE program at GCC. If you believe that you may be eligible for CARE services, please complete the CARE Supplemental form on the CARE Home page and submit it to the EOPS office as soon as your EOPS eligibility has been established.
