EOPS Mission Statement
EOPS program serves students who have been affected by economic, language, social and educational barriers. The mission of the program is to facilitate the successful and timely completion of student goals and objectives. Through specialized support services and instruction, EOPS encourages enrollment, retention, certificate completion, graduation and university transfer. As part of its mission, EOPS is committed to student success by promoting communication, critical thinking, information competency, application of knowledge, and personal responsibility.
EOPS - Extended Opportunity Programs and Services provide support services to students who demonstrate the potential to succeed in higher education. Our program offers a variety of services that may include, but are not limited to priority registration, orientation, counseling, instruction, book services and financial assistance. CARE - Cooperative Agencies Resources for Education CARE is a supplemental component of EOPS created to provide educational support services and activities for students who are single parents. CARE students must be eligible for EOPS services. Please go to the CARE HOME page to learn more about the CARE program and eligibility criteria.
