General Office Clerk I
This program prepares students for entry-level work in an office setting.
This series of courses allows students to develop skills in keyboarding, enhance verbal communication skills, file alphabetically and numerically, and attain the basics of computerized word processing. It provides the foundation for preparing students for General Office Clerk II.
Student will also learn strategies for creating a resume and preparing for a job interview. This program is the first in a series of three programs in the office clerk area. The core requirements include nine courses. There are no electives.
Students must satisfactorily complete all nine courses to be awarded a certificate of completion. Students completing this program will be prepared to enter a college-level course of study in business.
