* AUDITIONS for the Theatre Arts Dept. fall production of Nikolai Gogol’s “The Government Inspector,” adapted by Jeffrey Hatcher. Cast members must enroll in two theatre arts workshops. Auditorium. 7 to 10 p.m. Go to www.glendale.edu/theatre for details. Those auditioning need only choose one night, Sept. 2 or 3. Crew members for the production are also needed.

Sept. 8 - Oct. 1
* “WATERWORKS II” art exhibition in the GCC Art Gallery. The exhibition features works by several artists focusing on the myriad issues related to water. Gallery hours are Monday through Thursday from 12 to 5 p.m. and Friday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Free admission. The gallery is located in the Library Building. www.glendale.edu/artgallery.

* ANNUAL HOLISTIC HEALTH CARE SUMMIT hosted by GCC’s Alcohol and Drug Studies program and student club. The event focuses on the merging of mental, medical and substance dependence treatment. Keynote speaker is Darryl S. Inaba, associate professor of pharmacology at University of San Francisco Medical Center. The event includes panels, resources workshops and more. Free and open to the public. Auditorium. 1 to 5 p.m.

* PANEL DISCUSSION AND ARTISTS RECEPTION: A panel discussion and reception for the artists featured in the “Waterworks II” art exhibition. Art Gallery. Panel discussion is 2 to 3 p.m. and reception is from 3 to 5 p.m. Free admission.
