Green Team suggestions include:
A complete professional campus energy efficiency audit to determine what steps need to be taken to improve the efficiency of existing campus structures.
Using financing to implement recommendations generated by the audit. The reduced cost of electricity will provide the payment capital. Most campuses pay off such investments within 5-7 years.
Discouraging or prohibiting the use of space heaters on campus.
Policies that require the purchase of Energy Star approved electric appliances.
