The Women's Soccer Program was founded in 1996. Student athletes such as Claudia Alvarez, Sandy Rosalez, Sandra Platero, Yukie Midorakawa, and Liliana Leon.

Some of the young ladies who have contributed to the women’s soccer team.

Claudia Alvarez- played in the inaugural 1996 and 1997 team. Claudia now is one of our great athletic trainers.

Sandra Rosalez- also a member of the 1996 and 1997 inaugural team. Later became part of our coaching staff and then moved in the area of teaching.

Sandra Platero- Graduted earning her A.A. degree and became a Police Officer for L.A.P.D.

Yukie Midorankawa- Won the 2001 W.S.C athlete of the year award. Yukie earn her A.A here at G.C.C. She now coaches soccer in her native country of Japan.

Liliana Leon- Went to play for the Women’s National Soccer in 2002.

The 2002 season gave Glendale Women’s Soccer Team their first experience in the state playoffs. The program has consistently improved.
