Mission Statement-Glendale Community College Student Employment Services' mission is to provide comprehensive assistance to students and alumni in their search for employment and to assist employers in finding capable, qualified applicants.

General Information:
Glendale Community College is committed to offering students the opportunity to obtain hands-on experience through campus based employment opportunities. Students must be enrolled in at least 6 credit units at GCC and maintain a minimum GPA of 2.0  to be eligible to work on campus. Positions range from library clerks, office assistants, cafeteria workers, campus police cadets, tutors, teacher assistants, computer lab assistants, tram drivers, readers, note takers, warehouse assistants, etc. Every year Glendale College recognizes student workers for their outstanding performance. Click here for a list of Student Worker of the Year Award recipients.  For information regarding on campus employment, students must visit the Job Placement Center on the 2nd floor of the San Rafael Building. Employment Programs:
     College Employment Program (CEP)
         This program is totally funded by the College. Any students enrolled in at least 6 credit units with a  minimum GPA of 2.0 at this institution is eligible for this program. The number of hours students may work per week up to a maximum of 15 hours is determined by their semester units.

     
Federal Work Study (FWS)
         
To participate in this program, students must have applied for Financial Aid and must have a current Federal Work Study Award. Minimum enrollment is 6 units and the students may work a maximum of 15 hours per week provided they maintain a minimum GPA of 2.0.


       Extended Opportunity Programs and Services(EOPSWS)
          EOPS is funding a limited number of positions throughout the campus. Only EOPS students are eligible for these positions and their participation in this program must be approved by the EOPS Director. Minimum enrollment is 9 units. Minimum GPA is 2.0. Students may work up to a maximum of 15 hours a week

        CalWorks Work Study(CLWKS)
           In addition to the above requirements for CEP, students must be approved by the CalWorks Office.
