Accessing netLibrary Electronic Books:
- Go to the GCC Library Web page: http://www.glendale.edu/library
- Click Library Online Catalog under Databases
When using the Library Online Catalog to search for books in GCC Library, you will be searching our entire collection of books: both our print book collection and more than 6000 electronic books.

Searching for Electronic Books Using the Library Online Catalog:
- Use the GCC Library Online Catalog to search
for a topic you are interested in (for example: discrimination).
- An Advanced (Keyword) Search for the topic discrimination locates more than 200 titles.
- If you are searching from off campus, you may wish to limit your search to electronic books only. You can do this using the Advanced (Keyword) Search screen. (See example below).
- This search locates fewer than 30 titles.

Using Electronic Books:
- After reviewing your search results, click on any title to see that book's full description.
- On the netLibrary screen, click View this eBook.
- You will see a screen similar to the one below. Note all the features available to you in netLibrary.
- While you're browsing a book, no one else will be able to access that book. You can browse a book for around 15 minutes as long as you are actively using it. If netLibrary logs you out due to inactivity, simply return to the Library Online Catalog and re-access your book following the steps above.
- You can use the web browser's Print button to print a page from the book.
- When you are finished using the electronic book, click the Close Item tab at the top of the screen.
- You can search for another book or Log out.

- Screenshot shows the results of selecting "View this book" for a title appearing in the results list.
- You can choose to search for a word or phrase with in the text of the book or view the ebook's Table of Contents.
- In the right frame you can select to go to a specific page number or advance page by page through the text.
