Advice
The Career Center has computerized databases such as: EUREKA,
The California Career Information System, and DISCOVER,
Career Guidance and Information System, which will save the student hours
of research time and enable individuals to stay atop current occupational,
academic, and job search information.
Students will be assisted by staff in
accessing such information as:
1. Description of the
student's prospective career or job.
2. Job Duties, personal qualifications, abilities and key skills.
3. Future job outlook.
4. Salary and chances for advancement.
5. Related occupations
6. Preparation, training and schooling.
7. Employment opportunities in industry.
8. Programs which offer training: graduate schools,
universities,
colleges, technical and private schools.
9. Degrees, Certificates, licensing and credential
requirements.
10. Specific and detailed college information.
