Extended Opportunity Program and Services provide educational
opportunities for nontraditional students who are educationally and
economically disadvantaged. EOPS provides support services for students
who demonstrate the potential to succeed in higher education.
C.A.R.E.-Cooperative Agencies Resources for Education is a unique
educational program which represents a cooperative effort between the
community college, Department of Social Services, and the Employment
Development Department to assist single parents achieve educational
goals and to break the welfare dependency cycle.
SUMMER READINESS PROGRAM-This program is designed to assist
first-time college students who plan to attend GCC in the fall. The
program consists of two, four-week sessions of Student Development 100, a
class for college orientation. The course covers college academic
regulations, AA/AS/certificate requirements, transfer requirements, and
student support services.
