Entering Nursing Students

This page is intended for students who have been officially accepted into the Associate Degree Nursing Program at Glendale Community College.  It is intended only for those applicants who have received a letter extending specific congratulations and instructions regarding an Orientation to the Nursing Program as well as enrollment deadlines.

MISCELLANEOUS:  There are several links on this page to which you should refer:

  1. "Math Skills" to identify areas that might need review before school begins.

  2. "Cost of Nursing School" estimates the cost of nursing school across the four semesters.

TEXTBOOKS:  The books shown below are only for the first short session.  They will be used again in following semesters.  The books for the next semester session and currently in use across the curriculum can be found under "Continuing Students."

FINGERPRINT PROCESS and INSTRUCTIONS:   Fingerprinting must be done through GCC at initial enrollment and prior to caring for patients. 

Instructions:

  1. Pay $80 at the Associated Students Business Office (next to Bookstore) for the Fingerprinting fee.                                                            

  1. Bring your receipt to Barbara at the Nursing Department (HS 311) SEE MAP. Forms and directions to PCC will be provided.
               
  1. Have fingerprints done at PCC.
     
  1. Return the form copy provided by PCC to Barbara.
