Introduction to Online learning at Glendale
Community College
Online classes at Glendale Community College are offered
either wholly or in part through the World Wide Web. Some classes
require classroom attendance, while other classes are delivered
entirely online. Online classes may require an on-campus meeting
for orientation, midterm and a final exam. Online students can review
class lectures and do assignments and tests from any computer that
has Internet access. Learning takes place through a combination
of assigned readings, online class discussion and email, faculty
feedback, group projects, case studies, research and writing assignments.
Online courses are the same as classroom courses in
that you will be interacting with a group of other students and
a teacher. You will receive individualized attention and guidance
from your instructor and interact with other students through discussion
and chat.
