The first image to appear is a panorama of the earth's moon taken from the Apollo 17 mission.
Here you experience some of the whimsy Carmelo incorporated into his Mars show.
The scenery is about to change as the moon panorama fades into darkness.
Mars gets a little bigger and both of its moons emerge from behind it. The moon on the left is Phobos. The one on the right is Demos.
Mars approaches the front of the dome, gets much larger, and fades away as another panorama appears....
This is a panorama of Mars taken by Spirit Rover from the top of Husband Hill. Carmelo stiched together the ends to make a full circle on the dome.
Carmelo programmed the script to bring in the Burns Cliff image. It spirals in and gets larger as it approaches the "front" of the dome.
Once at full size, the Burns Cliff image is positioned at the front of the dome.
As the Burns Cliff image spins off into the distance, the starry sky above is darkened.
The Burns Cliff image continues to spin clockwise away as the sky gets darker.
Finally, we are left on Mars with the full panorama taken by Spirit Rover from the top of Husband Hill. All images in this show were produced from our virtual sky software. They are exact replicas of our dome in much smaller scale.
