This show is a tour of some of the constellations as they are seen across the nighttime sky in the Northern Hemisphere. The live dome show is accompanied by music from Professor Roger Dickes.
Paul created this panoramic desert scene using photos he took near the Painted Desert in Arizona and the joshua tree that Nilsa started.
Even though there is a full moon on the dome we are still able to see all the stars on the dome!
(If you look closely you will see one of Paul's meteors in the upper right quadrant.)
The wire frame of the constellations is provided with our Sky-Skan Inc. software
Martin had to learn star coordinates to place them on the dome so that they line up with the constellation.
Martin created the larger stars in Photoshop and programmed the script so that they appear to get larger and brighter during the show.
Martin programmed the script to place the image over the stars on the dome. Dania created the image and had to shape it so that it would cover the star pattern proportionally.
You were born under the sign of Scorpio if your birthday is between October 23 and November 21.
The ocean in this panorama was created by Carmen entirely in Photoshop. The rocks are from photographs taken by Paul.
As for the other constellations, Martin placed images of stars at their exact coordinates on the dome.
Martin created these stars so that they appear to get larger and brighter on the dome.
Those born under the sign of Capricorn have a birthday between December 22 and January 19.
Dania created this image from two photographs of a ram that her friend took and a puffer fish from an aquarium that she took. She positioned the image so that it fits proportionally over the stars of the constellation.
This panorama was created by using Paul's photos taken near the Painted Desert in Arizona. Dania created the ocean entirely in Photoshop.
The wire frames for all the constellations in our database are provided with the Sky-Skan Inc. software.
Once Martin created the star image, he programmed the script to place each star in its exact coordinate on the dome.
Those born under the sign of Pisces have a birthday between February 19 and March 20.
Dania created this image in Photoshop from photographs she took of California Sea Bass at the Long Beach Aquarium.
This panorama was created by Carmen in Photoshop from photos that Paul took at Joshua Tree Lost Horse Region.
Martin created star images and programmed the script to place them at their exact coordinates on the dome.
Those born under the sign of Leo have a birthday between July 23 and August 22.
Dania created this fearsome and proud lion in Photoshop from a photograph of a tired and weary lion at the Los Angeles Zoo.
This panorama was created entirely by Martin in Photoshop from photographs he took at Red Rock in Nevada. The photos were taken in broad daylight. Martin added the lava effects and purple color to give the appearance of night.
Even though Draco is not a zodiac constellation he is included in this show as one of the other constellations that we can see in the Northern Hemisphere.
Dania created this image in Photoshop from photographs Martin took of a monitor lizard at the Los Angeles Zoo.
As the show draws to a close, Draco fades away leaving just a trace of smoke from his nostrils and his red eyes.
