YOUTHFUL OFFENDERS

Administration of Justice 118 reviews the organization, functions, and jurisdiction of juvenile agencies; the processing and detention of juveniles; juvenile case disposition; juvenile statutes and court procedures. There are discussions on selected delinquency theories and a review of current correctional methods utilized in the treatment and control of juvenile delinquency in America. Lecture 3 hours.

 

Prerequisite: Administration of Justice 101. (Administration of Justice 101 may be taken concurrently.)

 

Note: This course may be taken 2 times; a maximum of 6 units may be earned.
