CISCO 2 TRAINING

Electronics and Computer Technology 115 is the second of four courses providing students with laboratory experience in current and emerging CISCO technology that will enable them to enter employment and/or obtain further education and training in the computer networking field. Instruction includes safety, networking, network terminology and protocols, network standards, Local Area Networks (LANs), Wide Area Networks (WANs), Open System Interconnection Ethernet (OSI), Token Ring, Fiber Distributed Data Interface, TCP/IP addressing protocol, dynamic routing, routing and the network administrator’s role and function. Instruction and training are provided in the proper care, maintenance, and use of networking software, tools, and equipment. (8 weeks). Lecture 4.5 hours, laboratory 4.5 hours.

 

Prerequisite: Electronics and Computer Technology 114.
