Fire Technology 114 is an introduction to basic fire chemistry and
physics. This course covers problems of flammability as encountered by fire-fighters
when dealing with toxic substances, fuels, explosives, oxidizers and radioactive
materials. It also covers fire fighting practices pertaining to hazardous materials
in storage and transit. Lecture ½-3 hours.
Prerequisite: Fire Technology
101 or equivalent.

taken 2 times; a maximum of 6 units may be earned.
