Fire Technology 156 is the first in a three-course series and
provides fundamental instruction regarding the history and philosophy of fire prevention,
organization, and operation of a fire prevention bureau, use of fire codes,
identification and correction of fire hazards, and the relationship of fire
prevention to fire safety education and detection and suppression systems. This

Technology 110 or employment in a fire-related occupation.

preparation: Eligibility for English 120 or ESL 151.
