Set in the shadowy depths of a black and white 1940’s style film-noir thriller, filled with femme fatales, evil scheming, and betrayal,  this interpretation of Shakespeare’s classic story begins in battle when three mysterious hags predict Macbeth’s future success which prompts him and his wife to murder the king. The events after the deed lead the couple with blood on their hands and a taste for success,  into an increased but natural desire for more. Once the guilt overcomes them, there is no escape from this tangled web of deception, greed, and lust for political power. Macbeth is among the best-known of William Shakespeare's plays, and has been adapted for opera, film, books, stage and screen due to the relevant  examination of the human condition. Directed by Jeanette Farr and Designs by Guido Girardi and Royce Herron, “Something wicked this way comes…” – in this timeless classic ripe for today’s climate.
