Michael Dulay has worked full-time at Glendale Community College since 1997. In addition to teaching courses in Psychology, Social Sciences, and Ethnic Studies, he served as Social Sciences Division Chair from 2008-2023. His traditional and action research interests are rooted in social justice, cross-cultural psychology, and the intersection of education, society, and technology. He holds a BA and two MAs (from CSULA and Pepperdine), but he is most proud of his early struggles as a student at GCC. The campus community here helped the future professor learn the skills needed to first survive, then thrive as a college student and aspiring educator.
When Professor Dulay is not in the classroom, you'll likely find him working with students, or in his office enjoying hip hop, reading, writing, or eagerly trying to learn to appreciate the world through the eyes of the current generation. He's eager to bridge generations by actively engaging in student activities. A glimpse of that can be seen here- https://tinyurl.com/bridgegengcc
He is also the current faculty advisor/'manong' for the Filipino American Student Association (FASA) of GCC. Their adventures can be followed at https://www.instagram.com/gcc.fasa
