Together, we succeed.

Amber Sanders

Amber Sanders lovingly calls her three children, 17-year old Christian, 12-year-old Aubrey and 5-year-old Anabel her orphans. Three children who were born to a mother who found her pathway to fulfillment by graduating from the GCC Nursing Program in June of 2018 and began working at Glendale Adventist Hospital in early 2019.

At the age of 39, she is not only an inspiration to her family but to her colleagues in a profession that requires tremendous commitment on and off the job. She feels like she was destined to become a nurse even after receiving a degree in psychology from Azusa Pacific University in 2001.

But after three children and years of homemaker duties, Amber decided to make the leap of faith to attend Glendale College with the full support of her family. “I applied to three school programs but GCC just felt right and it turned out to be one of the best decisions I have ever made,’’ she said. “They have a great program that is really like a small family and the instructors and the support from the local hospitals makes it all possible for the students.’’
