Here’s a working definition explaining Guided Pathways:
An integrated, institution-wide approach to student success based on intentionally designed, clear, coherent and structured educational experiences, informed by available evidence, that guide each student effectively and efficiently from her/his point of entry through to attainment of high-quality post-secondary credentials and careers with value in the labor market.
Simply stated: It is a gradual, evolutionary process that is continuous.
In 2017, the Chancellor's Office outlined a new Vision for Success for the California Community College system. This Vision for Success aims to improve the Community College system by making systematic changes that will benefit students and the community through the framework of Guided Pathways.
