Jennifer Krestow has been the full time astronomer at Glendale College since her arrival on campus in 2006. Prior to her tenure at Glendale, she taught physics at Swarthmore College in Pennsylvania. Before that she was a graduate student at the University of Toronto in her native Canada.
Her love of teaching blossomed during her four years as a host/demonstrator at the Ontario Science Centre, where she went "from being terribly shy to being extroverted enough" to stand in front of a group of young adults.
Jennifer now splits her time between the college astronomy department, where she teaches two classes a semester, and the planetarium, where she serves as director and primary presenter of the numerous public and outreach programs.
