History Hybrid Instructor

Kevin Mack:

Greetings intrepid historians! This here is a hyflex hybrid class, meaning that we will be interacting both online and on campus. Do not be alarmed: although there is "distance" in this Distance Education (DE) class, there will also be a great deal of (fun, engaging) "education."

Spring 2020 - the on-campus component will take place Friday 9:10 am to 1:35 pm in SV223 at GCC. These are mandatory and students will be dropped should they prove absent.

Every week we will work together online.

Canvas, GCC's course management system. As a DE class, this is our hub and our medium for communications. We will also use Canvas to complete "asynchronous" activities such as discussion boards and group projects. You can find a wealth of information about Canvas.

DE classes, while offering flexibility, are typically much more demanding than traditional courses, so you must plan accordingly.

Feel free to e-mail any questions and concerns.
